After making real cakes for many years and trying to start my own company, my husband and I found out we were expecting a baby boy in August of 2013. Realizing we needed to support this new life, I decided to return to teaching middle school English. Not wanting to put away all my tools, I thought why not still use my decorating talents but on inedible cakes instead. This way I would be able to have an inventory of faux cakes, help new couples save money, and have time to be a mom to my son.
Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?
